The chair ships flat-packed for safe transport and requires attaching the solid-wood rocker base to the upholstered seat body. All hardware and a clear instruction guide are included. We strongly recommend having two people for assembly, as the seat section is large and heavy. Most customers complete assembly in around 30–45 minutes.
The rocker base provides a natural, free-gliding arc of motion — this is fixed and is part of what makes the chair so soothing to sit in. There is no lockable mechanism.
